Designing an AI-assisted decision system for Public Affairs professionals
ft.dk API —> Tailored dashboard —> Filter and AI skills —> Communication and action
What:
The project focuses on customizing a tool that automates the tedious tasks Public Affairs (PA) professionals continuously face when maintaining their clients’ strategic direction in response to proposed or enacted government legislation.
The solution enables continuous monitoring of news from ft.dk, combined with automated filtering based on each client’s profile and a weighted relevance system.
In addition, the tool functions as a streamlined communication channel, building on existing analytical workflows used by PA professionals to support faster and more structured decision-making.

Custom software tools
Less waisted screentime and a personalized experience
Why custom is cool:
The ease and low price of building a truly functional prototype using Claude Code is so important for why I am exited about creating custom software tools. The ease and low price makes it possible to iterate in close collaboration with any user and create a tailored software where the learning curve of the software follows the development of the user.
The value created:
The core benefit of the tool is the automation of a traditionally tedious task performed by public affairs professionals. While this clearly saves time, the more interesting aspect is the flexibility of the system. Because it is relatively fast and low-cost to modify, the user experiences actual control and influence over the tool.
This setup made it possible to continuously test whether the data pulled from the API and filters actually created value for a specific user. Based on this feedback, I could refine the filtering logic and gradually tailor the tool to fit that individual agent’s needs.
Customised tool design process:
This sense of control is valuable. It creates a tool that evolves with the user. It start simple and from the same data source, but becoming more complex as the individual user gains experience, skills, and responsibility.
